Maxine Brown

Mrs. Maxine Brown age 90 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at her home. She was born on April 23, 1926 in Letcher Co., KY the daughter of James & Ramie Hampton. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and a member of the Swan Pond Baptist Church. She united in marriage with McKinley Brown and to this union two sons were born.

She is preceded in death by her husband McKinley, her son Jack A. Brown, her parents, James & Ramie Hampton, one grandchild, twelve brothers and three sisters.

Left behind to mourn her passing, her son James M. Brown and wife Gail of Bethel, Ohio, two brothers, Henry Clay Hampton and David Hampton both of Richmond, Indiana, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Mrs. Maxine Brown will be conducted at the Swan Pond Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Tom Patterson officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. She will be laid to rest in the Faulkner Chapel Cemetery at Swan Pond. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the Swan Pond Baptist church on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
