Chuck was born into humble beginnings which motivated him to work hard and create a successful
life for himself. He spent most of his life in southern California before he and his
wife moved to Bakersfield in 2005 to be close to their daughters. He was a wonderful husband,
father, papa, friend, and role model. Chuck devoted his life to the love, support, and care for his family,
which was most important.
Chuck was a rather unassuming man and would be best described as a "gentle giant". He had quite an
appetite for life with many hobbies. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoyed woodworking,
cooking, gardening, playing the guitar, traveling, Angels baseball, and his dogs. His love and spirit
will be missed - not to mention his quick wit and sometimes sarcastic sense of humor.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Alice, his two daughters, Kimberly and Sarah, his four
grandchildren, Charlie, Chase, Tyler, and Madison, and his two favorite sons-in-law, Brent and Chad.
He left this world with a lot to be proud of, including the legacy that will forever live through his memory
and impact on the lives of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
A memorial service is scheduled for Friday May 13th, at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park,
9101 Kern Canyon Road. The memorial will be followed by a Celebration of Life hosted by his family.
For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, please send donations to the local SPCA or any charity of your choosing.
