

Carol embarked on a fulfilling career in cosmetology, specializing in hair and makeup. She eventually became the head cosmetologist at Skaggs Department Store. Upon retiring, Carol cherished traveling with her beloved husband, Sid Payne, who proceeded her in death.
A woman of diverse interests, Carol enjoyed her time at Pine Flat Lake, where she gathered with friends and family. Her passion for adventure extended to traveling in their motorhome and riding motorcycles and other all-terrain vehicles with her husband. She even loved racing Odyssey’s in her younger days and was very good at it.
Carol leaves behind a loving family: her son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Anne Cox; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Brian Kirschenman; grandchildren, Janelle
Cox, Ryane Cox, Matthew Kirschenman, and Kristyn Escalante; five great-grandchildren, Addyson, Liam, Emree Kirschenman, Harrison and Collins Escalante. Sister Laurie Faure. Plus a very special cousin and life long friend Deanna Wickwire and her husband Bill who was a great help to her during her last years.
A private family memorial will be held on April 7, 2025, to honor Carol's memory. Her life's impact and enduring spirit will be cherished by all who knew her.
