Theresa Barker

Theresa Barker, a resident of West Babylon, New York, passed away on August 28, 2024, at the age of 86. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on November 14, 1937, Theresa was the cherished daughter of Michael Gorman and Carrie Clark, both of whom predeceased her.

Theresa is remembered with great affection as the devoted wife of Michael J. Barker for 55 years. Together, they shared a life filled with love and commitment. She was the proud mother of Donna Friedman and her husband, Mark. Theresa's family also includes her siblings, Danny Gorman and Pat Kellenberger.

Throughout her life, Theresa was a dedicated homemaker and part-time caregiver, always putting the needs of others before her own. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in playing Bingo, and her loyal companion, a beloved dog named Tiffany, was a constant source of comfort.

A woman of faith, Theresa served as a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Grace R.C. Church in West Babylon, where her kindness and dedication touched many lives. Her contributions to her church and community reflect the compassion and generosity that defined her character.

Theresa will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her devotion to her faith, and her warm, caring nature. She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and a loving family who will honor her memory with gratitude and love.

Theresa Barker's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her memory will forever be a blessing.

A visitation for Theresa will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A visitation will occur Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. A burial will occur Friday, September 6, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at St Charles Cemetery, 2010 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, New York 11735.
