Your father was my mentor when I was a young appraiser for Dime Savings bank.  In my opinion he is gone much too soon. He was a customer of ours later on when I had my own company and he was working for Astoria Federal.   He will be missed.

In 2023 I joined the LIST chapter and was privileged to get to know Steve.  He was a fine gentleman and extraordinarily knowledgeable and personable.   I will miss him.   May he rest in peace knowing that he will be remembered.

Heartbroken over this news.  Stephen was a wonderful person and an effective & enthusiastic leader. His partnership was invaluable and he truly made a difference in the world of historical railroad preservation and education. Sincerest condolences to Stephen's family and his many friends.

One of the finest people I have ever known and an extremely good friend. We shared many laughs and interests, especially railroads (and esp. the LIRR and the New Haven that Steve loved). He will be sorely missed, and I wish only the best for his wife and son left behind to mourn him. Prayer and time are great healers.
