This was one of the many great trips Scott was able to captain. On this trip, my son-in-law Isa Muqattash and buddy Charlie Murray slammed large bass off Montauk.  Scott's knowledge of the area made the trip one of the best we ever had. You will be missed big guy. May tight lines and screaming drags meet you on the other side.

I had the privilege of growing up down the block from  the Leonard's and played roller hockey with Scott then later high school hockey and  together in some men's leagues after that.    Scott was fierce on the ice and always had his teammates' back!   As many of us know, Scott was a great fisherman, I think he was an even better person!  
He will be missed.  My sincerest condolences to Joe and his family.

Sorry for your loss he was a great fisherman and all round kind person enjoyed surf casting with him in the early days RIP 🙏

Captain Scott in the 2008 Regulator Contender Shootout. You could always count on Scott to run flat out in search of the fish. If you were worried about getting wet this boat was not for you!

You were a great person to be around it was a pleasure to have been able to play hockey with you. For a guy who started playing hockey so late you became one hell of a player. Rest easy my friend.

Deepest condolences to the Leonard family. Scott, the memories at Superior are endless. We shared some great late night  laughs. May you rest in eternal peace and may your family find peace knowing you are no longer suffering. RIP my friend.

I'm extremely saddened by Scott's passing. He was my all time ice hockey team captain and fearless leader who was respected by everyone in our room.  God bless you and keep you close Oh Captain my Captain.
