Monica Mary Molloy

Monica Mary Molloy, of West Babylon, New York, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2024, at the age of 80. Born on August 24, 1944, in Flushing, New York, she was the beloved daughter of Richard Weldon and Monica Cullen.

Monica was the cherished wife of James Molloy for 50 wonderful years. Together, they created a loving home filled with warmth and laughter. She was a devoted mother to Patricia Molloy (Thomas O'Gara) and Mary Squires (Gregg), and a proud grandmother to her adored grandchildren: Caitlyn, Thomas, Cole, and Devin.

As a sister, Monica was a source of love and support to Barbara Fleckney, Peter Weldon, Pat Santacroce, and Richard Weldon. Her family meant everything to her, and her kindness and compassion will be deeply missed.

Monica had a zest for life that extended beyond her family. She loved traveling, taking cruises, and she loved the beach. Her adventurous spirit and eye for beauty were evident in all she did.

She loved her beloved pets, Seamus and Chelsea, who brought her much joy.

Monica's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A visitation for Monica will be held Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. A visitation will occur Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A mass of christian burial will occur Monday, September 30, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 666 Albin Ave, West Babylon, NY 11704. A burial will occur Monday, September 30, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Charles / Resurrection Cemeteries, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
