Flora Regina Catalano, a beloved resident of Copiague, New York, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024, at the age of 65. Born on May 23, 1959, in Brooklyn, New York, she was the cherished daughter of Kenneth Williamson and Marie Buccos.
Flora was the devoted wife of Michael Catalano for 44 years, and together they created a warm and loving home filled with laughter and joy. She was a proud mother to Michael Catalano (Jamie) and Christopher Catalano, and a treasured grandmother to Michael, James, Hailey, and Valentina, who brought her immense joy and pride.
In addition to her roles as a mother and grandmother, Flora was the beloved sister of Kenneth Williamson. A dedicated homemaker, she filled her home with love, warmth, and kindness, always making time for family and friends.
Flora enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including boating, fine dining, and traveling. She had a particular fondness for visiting casinos, especially playing the slot machines. A member of the Surfside 3 Marina Yacht Club, she relished the time spent on the water and cherished the friendships formed there.
Flora was known for her incredible kindness and willingness to lend an ear or a helping hand to anyone in need. Her friendly disposition and genuine warmth left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Flora is survived by her loving family, her faithful pet dog Precious, and a wide circle of friends who will miss her dearly. She will be remembered for her loving spirit and the joy she brought to those around her.
Rest in peace, dear Flora. Your love and kindness will forever remain in our hearts.
A visitation for Flora will be held Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. A visitation will occur Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. A mass of christian burial will occur Friday, October 11, 2024 from 10:15 AM to 11:15 AM at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church, 125 Half Hollow Rd, Deer Park, NY 11729. A burial will occur Friday, October 11, 2024 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at North Babylon Cemetery, Livingston Ave, Babylon, NY 11702.
