Christopher B. Duffy Sr.

Christopher B. Duffy Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2024, at the age of 69. He was born on March 14, 1955, in New York, New York, to Eugene Duffy and Dolores Monahan.

Christopher was the devoted husband of Karen L. Duffy for 44 wonderful years. Together, they raised three children: Michele Sturken, Kara Jean Duffy, and Christopher Duffy Jr., who were the pride and joy of his life. He was a loving Poppy to his grandchildren, Alyssa Hovanec and Bryan Sturken, who brought him endless happiness.

He was the cherished brother of Karen Rizzo and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A proud electrical foreman with Local 3 I.B.E.W., Christopher worked with dedication and passion throughout his career. He was also a valued member of several organizations, including the I.B.E.W. and the Holy Name Society Catholic Council. He enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including music, reading, and following his favorite baseball and football teams. His love of these pastimes, combined with his warm and welcoming personality, made him a treasured presence among family and friends.

Christopher’s beloved pets, Ally and Fluffy, were constant companions.

Christopher’s life was defined by his unwavering commitment to his family, work, and community. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched.

He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A visitation for Christopher B. will be held Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A mass of christian burial will occur Monday, December 23, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 666 Albin Ave, West Babylon, NY 11704. A burial will occur Monday, December 23, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Charles / Resurrection Cemeteries, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
