Charlotte Pine, age 85, of Clermont, Florida passed away September 8, 2023, at Cornerstone Hospice House. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 15, 1938, with gorgeous red hair. Charlotte graduated from Brooklyn College and received her Master’s Degree in Education from Nova University.
She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, teacher and friend. She was married to Stanley Pine on June 21, 1958 for 64 years. Charlotte was a traveler enjoying 64 cruises with her husband Stanley and often invited her kids and grandkids to accompany them. Her favorite cruise explored the Baltics and Scandinavia. Each and every cruise port relied on Charlotte’s Shopping Prowess for their economy to prosper.
Charlotte "Red 4 Ed" passionately worked as an educator at Nob Hill Elementary and Eagle Point Elementary for the gifted program that she lovingly nicknamed The Kaleidoscope Kids. She also represented the US for a teachers' exchange sabbatical in Japan. Upon her retirement from teaching, she set up a perpetual scholarship for one graduating fifth-grade boy and girl for outstanding academic achievement at Eagle Point Elementary.
Charlotte was one of the most creative people you have ever met. She often wrote poems for family and friends and was well-known for her “Candy Grams”. Per her Candy Grams, Charlotte herself was a “Bit O Honey” and “Sweet Tart” who was “Mounds” of fun; her husband called her “Chuckles” and everyone thought she was “Extra” amazing. The walls of her home were filled with her artistic creations. Charlotte was also known as a fashionista and always dressed to the “T” with her matching outfits. She was the only person in Florida who could accessorize an outfit with Butterfly Wings and deserved to be on the cover of Vogue. If you didn’t recognize her by her fashion sense, you surely would recognize her by her infectious laugh.
She is survived by her daughter Jodi, son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Pam, her grandchildren Michelle and Jaclyn, her brother and sister-in-law Stanley and Ro, and her niece Stephanie.
