Charles was born and raised in Brooklyn, and he lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. He shared 63 beautiful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Rose Puccio, who preceded him in death. Their love was a testament to commitment, loyalty, and unwavering support for each other through life's joys and challenges.
Charles is survived by his loving children, Graceann Chillo(Elio) and Joseph A Puccio(Michael Luppino), as well as his grandchildren, Michael C. Chillo and Anthony J. Chillo. He also leaves behind his siblings, Anne Leale and Richard Puccio, and fond memories of his brother, James Puccio, who had predeceased him.
Charles dedicated many years of his life to his work as a maintenance worker at Stony Brook University, where his dedication and hard work were deeply appreciated by colleagues and students alike.
Outside of work, Charles had a passion for old movies, especially westerns, and was known as a Hollywood history buff. He enjoyed collecting coins and sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for these hobbies with others. Above all, Charles cherished spending time with his family and friends, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever.
He was also a loving companion to his faithful dog, Lucky, who brought him much joy and companionship.
Charles will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have known him.
A visitation for Charles will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Claude R. Boyd - Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W Main St, Babylon, New York 11702. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 10:45 AM at Maria Regina Church, 3945 Jerusalem Avenue, Seaford, New York 11783. An interment will occur Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 12:30 PM at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, New York 11739.
