Ben DiLieto

DiLieto, Ben of West Babylon, New York on May 8, 2022. Ben was born on January 3, 1931 in New York City. Beloved husband of the late Philomena Franzese who predeceased him in 1994 after a long battle with breast cancer. Ben and Philomena were married on October 15, 1961 in Brooklyn, New York. Son of the late Bonaventura DiLieto and the late Lucia Catina. Loving father of Lucille Myers (Peter) and Marisa Brenner (David). Caring grandfather of Jessica Schanbacher (Cole), Melissa McHugh, & Ben Brenner. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews both here and in Italy. Known as "Uncle Ben" to many friends and extended family. He was loved by all. Ben was a Union Carpenter for 38 years. He was a member of many bowling leagues and several fishing clubs throughout the years. He loved fishing for tuna, bass and flounder, mostly off the coast of Long Island. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations or gift of your time to your local ASPCA or Animal Shelter.

A visitation for Ben will be held Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. A visitation will occur Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. A funeral mass will occur Friday, May 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 700 Albin Ave, West Babylon, New York 11704. An interment will occur Friday, May 13, 2022 at 12:15 PM at St Charles Cemetery, 2010 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, New York 11735.
