Gladys Renaud (nee Jowsey) passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday September 03, 2022 at the age of 94. Beloved wife of Ken Renaud (predeceased) and loving mother of Randy. Predeceased by her parents Lawlor and Helen (Newton) Jowsey. She is resting at the Racine, Robert and Gauthier Funeral Home and will be interred at Bellevue Cemetery in Aylmer, Quebec with her family who have passed before her.
Gladys grew up in Aylmer and spent her working life as a PWGSC employee and living in Nepean. She enjoyed venturing out of Ottawa and getting up to her cottage in Norway Bay, Quebec whenever possible. Gladys’ hobbies included reading, rug hooking, and knitting wooly garments for her nieces and nephews. She was also an avid historian with many interesting tales of the days of “Old Aylmer” and her travels to the Newton family homes in England.
Gladys will be fondly pictured in our minds, sitting under the pines on her deck at the Bay, reading her books with her cup of tea close by.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
