On Monday, December 12th, Warren Hendricks Glass, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 74. He was born to John and Nadine Glass in Austin, Texas. Warren graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in accounting. He worked for the state of Texas for 48 years. At the age of 21 he married his sweetheart, Beverly. They had 7 children and 16 grandchildren.
Warren was a talented storyteller. He often entertained his kids and grandkids with stories from his childhood of raising cows or his days working for the railroad during college. He also had a wonderful singing voice and sang in the church choir. Warren loved children and volunteered to teach the Royal Rangers at church for many years. He made a lasting impact on many of the boys he taught there. He will be remembered for his kind and gentle nature, and his generosity and willingness to help anyone in need. He will be greatly missed.
Warren is preceded in death by his parents John and Nadine Glass, brother Eugene “Gene” Glass, and granddaughters Taylar Lesser and Olivia King. He is survived by his wife Beverly, sister Bonnie Orsag, brothers John, Tom, and Joe Glass, his children Genna, Terran, Lisa and her husband David, Trevor, Robert, Matthew and his wife Casey, Shaunte, and many grandkids, nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at Glad Tidings Church- Leander Campus (1006 US- Hwy. 183 in Leander) on Tuesday Dec. 20th at 11:00am with visitation at 10:00am.
