Valentina C Peña

She was a devoted mother and wife who loved all her family and friends. She loved her job as a hairdresser and was a born leader. Valentina found joy in sharing her life with those around her. She will be remembered for her endearing strong will and leadership skills.

She is survived by her loving husband Joseph and their children Katerina and Mauricio, her mother Ana Maria Contreras, sister Hilda and husband Larry Casas, as well as Jane and Sadie Silverman, Valentina’s mother-in-law Theresa Pena and brother-in-law John Pena. Valentina was also loved by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Rodolfo, her father-in-law Serafin Pena, and grandmother Maria de Jesus Ruvalcaba Contreras.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, January 5, 2022, from 1pm to 5pm and Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 1pm to 8pm at Weed-Corley-Fish Home. Funeral service is Friday, January 7, 2022, 11:30am at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Onion Creek Memorial Park, 11610 Chapel Lane, Austin, Texas.

Reception will follow at the family’s home.
