I’m so sorry to see this. Susan was our roommate in Corpus Christi back in the early 90’s. 
Such a wonderful person. Full of life and lived each minute to its fullest.

Time spent with you was always such a joy!  I treasure the times I got to spend with you at your big house when Kat and Jeff got married (and LOVED the pecan trees in the front yard! 😄) and visiting you and Ethelynn at your condo.  I'm SO glad you got to come to TH for Christmas, you were the best gift of all.  I can close my eyes and hear your voice and your laughter, something I'll never forget.

I was lookin U up to say hi….devastated to hear this news…..sorry I took so long.  I will always cherish the time I spent with U….U were a superhero to me, all U accomplished, Ur amazing skills, and just Ur kindness (I still have the sweet Craftsman socket set U bought me in ‘93!!).  Really wish I could see/talk with U now….the wisdom cannot be replaced.  Thank U for touching my life!!….would love to go out to dinner with U!! ❤️

Susan was a remarkable and interesting person, She reminded me a lot of her Dad on her ability to fix things. She always had great stories of her adventures and life.
My Dad and Mom both enjoyed visiting her on their winter trips to Texas, and her visits when she would visit Minnesota.

Kat, Michael, Jeff, Kai, Kiera - Our deepest sympathy for your loss. 

I met Susan and Ethelynn in 1994, when we went on our first Caribbean sailing trips together. We made 3 more trips, with Susan as the captain. She handled it all so easily - the sailing, the mooring, the tricky times.  I had total confidence in Susan’s ability to handle anything we’d encounter, with calm and humor and good cheer. We had a great and interesting friendship over the years. 

She was an amazing person, and I’m so grateful to have known her. I’ll miss her. 

Susan was my 10th floor neighbor.  She quickly became a good friend for me and Nadir.  She always had a big smile and warm hello.  
She had a gusto and zest for life.  Her incredible energy as well as positive spirit, courage and strength were an inspiration to me.  She was a remarkable woman.  I recall after one of her cancer treatments Susan said to me “I’m going to Home Depot do you need anything?”  
I enjoyed our 10th floor dinners where Susan shared stories of her travels with Ethelynn, her youth and experiences in the Navy as well as stories of ice fishing.  Susan spoke lovingly, with pride, about her family—Michael, Kat, Kiera and Kai.  
Early morning swims were also times of wonderful discussions on what was happening in the world and plans.  Susan creatively named our 10th floor swim group the Water Lillies.  I will always keep the fond memories of my dear Water Lily – Susan.
My most sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family.  Cheers to a life well-lived.


Our prayers for your family. I always enjoyed listening to your Mom's stories and the the trips she was on. She led a very interesting life and I know my Mom enjoyed her visits back to Minnesota.

Susan was my 10th floor neighbor.  She quickly became  a good friend to me and Nadir.  She always had a big smile and hello for us.

I always look forward to our 10th floor neighbor dinners, glasses of wine, early morning swims and short road trips. Susan named the early morning swim group of 10th floor friends the Water Lilies.  

During these times together,  I enjoyed hearing stories of Susan's travels with Ethelynn, camping and her ice fishing trips.  Susan shared stories of her youth and times in the Navy.  We would all have lively political discussions over dinner with glass of wine or two or a couple of bottles of wine.  Susan would always speak lovingly and proudly of her family, Michael, Kat, Kai and Kiera.

Susan had a gusto and zest for life and an amazing energy.  Even throughout her long battle with cancer Susan always was a very positive spirit and didn't let nothing stand in the way of her getting up each day and doing her thing - truly a remarkable woman.  I recall  Susan would come back from a cancer treatment and  tell me "I'm going to Home Depot do you need anything?"  She inspired me with her strength, courage and incredible positive spirit. 

I'm truly grateful for her kind friendship, and the support she gave me when I needed it.  I will miss my fellow Water Lily.

We have very fond memories of Susan and Ethelynn, their great hospitality on West 33rd Street and their community involvement. A toast to both!

Condolences to Katharine and Michael and all of Susan’s family.

Such a strong woman, we loved knowing her and being a part of her family.  We wish we could be there and join in celebration of her life.

Susan was my good friend. I lived two floors below her in the Condos on Tower Lake.  Every time we would see each other she was always positive and up beat, even through all the torturous cancer treatments she endured.  Susan was brave and determined.  I was new to the condos and had received a very high property tax bill and didn’t know what to do about it.  Susan took charge and took me down to the tax office and showed me how to lower my taxes and at the same time lowered her taxes.   Susan was a fighter and I admired that in her.  I am very grateful I had a friend like her.  I can’t believe she is gone but will always hold her memory.  

Susan changed my life! She was without a doubt the biggest influence on me and my career. We worked on the T45TS together for many, many years. We worked hard, laughed a lot and constantly surprised everyone with what we accomplished.  I will miss the twinkle in her eyes and that wonderful laugh. RIP my dear friend...
