On Friday, March 3, 2023 Stephen Dean, a much loved husband and father unexpectedly passed away. He was born in Mantua, NJ on October 18th, 1965 and was the 5th beloved child of Edward and Joanne Dean. He grew up in the community of Mantua and was known for his charismatic and entertaining personality.
He received his undergraduate degree in Advertising/Marketing from Montclair State University and did his post-graduate studies at the prestigious Creative Circus in Atlanta, GA. He landed in Austin when he accepted a position at GSD&M Advertising and was an integral part of the agency, working as a creative writer, leading major accounts such as Pennzoil, Airforce and Chili’s.
Wanting a new challenge, Steve left the advertising world and co-founded Republic Tequila and Cinco Vodka. Eventually, he moved on to become a successful real estate agent with Realty Austin, where he was recognized as a “Top Producer”. This career choice matched up perfectly with his attention to detail, magnetic personality and caring nature.
While working at GSD&M, Steve met and fell in love with his future bride, Tiffany Nall. After marrying in September of 2001, Steve and Tiffany had two children, Ryan Thomas Edward and Ava Marie. Steve was an amazing and loving father and Ryan and Ava were truly his greatest pride and joy.
Steve was a delight to be around and was in his element when entertaining. He was known for making a mean martini or margarita for friends and family. He will be remembered for his lively wit, sense of humor, and cleverly-crafted one-liners.
Steve is survived by his wife of 21 years, Tiffany Nall Dean, son Ryan Thomas Edward (16), daughter Ava Marie (7) mother, Joanne Dean aka GG; brother Edward Dean, Jr. (Sue), sister Susan Kirschner (Michael), sister Ellen Murray (Jim), brother-in-law, Fran Schade, family dog, Oprah and cherished uncle to many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his father Edward Dean, Sr. and sister, Joanne Dean Schade.
Steve will forever be remembered for his charisma, lively wit and sense of humor.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 24, at noon at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home 5416 Parkcrest Dr. Celebration of life will follow immediately after at Great Hills Country Club- 5914 Lost Horizon Drive.
