Robert “Bobby” James Sill, son of William J. Sill and Lee Ann Linder, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 17th, 2022. He was born on the same day as his father, February 6th, of 1999, leaving this world far too soon at 23-years-old.
Bobby had his mother’s heart of gold and his stepfather’s green thumb. He shared his father’s love of adventure and made his best memories learning from him how to be an outdoorsman. Bobby found his contentment on the golf course, watching Longhorn football with his family, hunting, hiking, kayaking, or simply lifting his face to the sky to marvel at the beauty all around him.
He was fiercely loyal and protective of his loved ones and always championed the underdog. His intellect and wit were unparalleled, always either engaged in deep philosophical discussion, or making everyone around him belly laugh. Bobby was extraordinarily loving, tender, intelligent and hilarious, and a momma’s boy like you’ve never known.
He is survived by his mother, Lee Ann Linder, his father Bill Sill, his step-father Jed Thornock and step-mother Kelly Hamilton Sill. He leaves behind his 7 siblings, Rachel Diane Sill, Andrea Leigh Sill, Kathryn Lynn Sill, Jonathan Van Thornock, Lillian Rose Thornock, Sofia Anna Sill and Samuel Noah Sill.
Please join us in remembering and honoring Bobby with services on Tuesday, October 25th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 5201 Convict Hill Rd, Austin Texas 78749. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, with a viewing preceding at 10:00 AM. All are welcome. We would love to see you and share memories of Bobby with you.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions to Bobby’s family’s garden and ranch with live plants, seeds, flowers and trees. It’s our wish that we have a beautiful, full garden to remember our boy in. His love of nature will live on as he shines down on the beautiful earth he left behind. If you want to contribute from afar, see link below to plant a tree in his honor.
