Robert Ludwig Herboek Robert Ludwig Herboek, age 85, of Austin, Texas, died on Monday, August 6, 2007. He was born on November 16, 1921, to Ludwig and Minnie Hallmayer Herboek, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After graduating high school, Robert was employed with Ben Hur Manufacturing Company and Wisconsin Telephone Company, AT&T, both in Milwaukee. Robert was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Austin and a former Mason. He enjoyed being in the outdoors; fishing, camping, walking, spending time with his grandchildren and playing card games. Robert is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Van Buren Herboek; sons, Thomas Herboek and James Herboek and wife Ann; grandchildren, Barbara Herboek Cowan and husband Christopher Cowan, Jeffrey Herboek and wife Amy, David Herboek, Amy Herboek Carter and husband Cory, and Gregory Herboek; great grandchildren, Rebecca, Anthony, Zachary, Alexis and Victoria. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by daughter-in-law, Carole Herboek. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Peace Lutheran Church, 10625 Ranch Road 620 North, Austin, 78726, with Pastor Greg Gaskamp officiating.
