Robert Blake Rodgers

He was the son of Teresa and Brett, brother to Zachery, and a great friend to many.

He attended Regents School of Austin through the 8th grade. He graduated from Hyde Park High School in 2017. He had just completed his freshman year in College Station. Blake’s life was taken in a tragic car accident on his way to serve at YoungLife’s Frontier Ranch.

Blake loved his family, his friends, music, playing guitar, soccer, and was recently placed to be a YoungLife leader at Texas A & M. Blake lived every day sharing his love and caring for others. He charmed us all with his joy and laughter. Blake’s character and compassionate heart will always live on in our hearts.

The Gospel is a simple message. This is how Blake chose to live his life. 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Luke 10:27

The Rodgers family is very thankful for your loving support and friendship. Your prayers and presence give us strength.

The family will receive visitors from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. A Funeral Service honoring Blake will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesay, May 23, 2018, at Hyde Park Baptist Church, located at 3901 Speedway, Austin, Texas 78751.
