Petra F. Alonzo, 85, of Del Valle, Texas passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. She was born on February 11, 1939 in Guanajuato, Mexico to her parents, Pedro Flores and Maria Ramirez Flores. Petra married the love of her life, Juan Alonzo and together they raised 7 children. She enjoyed being a housewife and taking care of her family. Petra was known to make the best homemade flour tortillas and enjoyed cooking. One of her favorite hobbies was spending time in her garden and taking care of all her plants. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Maria Flores; children, Eva Alonzo, Bertha Alonzo, Fidel Alonzo, Eloy Alonzo, and Raul Alonzo.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Roy Alonzo Jr., Juvenile Parra, Angel Rodriguez, Anthony Alonzo, Armando Gomez, and Manuel Ortiz Jr.
She is survived by her children Ramiro Alonzo and Janie Alonzo; 17 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren.
