Pamela Ann Pressman, age 85, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2021. She was born July 24, 1936, in England to Charles Albert Pressman and Beryl Grace McGeorge. Pam was raised in England and attended Norton Secondary School where she was selected as the school’s Festival May Queen. She was a model for the Spirella company and later worked as a Montessori teacher.
Pam grew up along the seashore of Margate Kent where she met and married the love of her life, Harry Barrett, in August of 1958 who preceded her in death in 2008. Harry was in the military, and they moved back to the US where they crisscrossed the country with their three children in tow until Harry’s retirement to Austin in 1977.
Pam loved and treasured her children and embraced any child that she encountered. She was world-renowned for her lack of filter, not holding back her opinion and a knack for telling it like it is. She always told you the truth even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear.
Pam is preceded in death by her husband Harry Barrett and brother Jon Pressman. She is survived by her children and son-in-law, Giselle (husband Leonard Price), Melissa Kreer, and Jon Barrett. Her grandchildren Paige Kreer and Jason Price and his wife Renee. Her great-grandchildren Beau Barrett Price and Perry Rose Price. Her brother Graham Living (wife Debbie) of Millsboro, Delaware, sisters Mandy Bowskill (husband Robert) and Shirley Rigden (husband Dennis) of England, and Sylvie Pressman (sister-in-law) of France.
She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
A special thanks to Brookdale Hospice Kaleigh, Roxanna, Clarissa, Brad and Holly and all her great neighbors in Anderson Mill.
