Nell DeLay Newman Nell DeLay Newman died Tuesday, May 10, 2005, in Austin, Texas, at the age of 89. She was born August 12, 1915, in Tyler, Texas, to Fannie and Tom DeLay. She attended CIA (Texas Womens College) and the University of Texas at Austin, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was married to Charles Howard Newman, Jr., in 1934. She is survived by her children: Kay Adrian and Frances Hilton, both of Austin, and Charles Howard Newman, III, of Ft. Worth, Texas; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 13, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. at Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth.
