Nancy Jean McCain

She was a Christian and a longtime member of Covenant United Methodist Church. Nancy attended Austin High School and was a member of the Red Dragons Drama Club.

Nancy worked in the health field most of her life. She was a nurse, EEG technician and eventually retired from the City of Austin Health Department. She was a longtime member of the Texas Public Health Association and served a term as their president.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband and friend of 31 years, Steve McCain of Amarillo; daughter Connie Lawrence and husband, Gary of Hutto; Robin Phillips of Cedar Park, and Rhonda Morrison and husband Rocky of Belton; son Chris Browder of Austin; grandchildren, Jennith McCarty and husband Wes of Pflugerville, Michael West and wife Cassie of Minnesota, James and Jordan Muller of Hutto, and Alexx and Gregg Phillips of Cedar Park; great-grandchildren, Dylan West of Minnesota, and Warner McCarty of Pflugerville.

A memorial will be held at Covenant United Methodist Church on December 12, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. The address is 4410 Duval Road, Austin, Texas 78727.
