Wayne Brown was born February 1, 1953 in Big Sandy, TX to the union of the late Ira James Brown III and Dollye Pearl Brown on. He was the eldest child. He grew up in New Mexico and graduated from Mayfield High School in Las Cruces, New Mexico in 1971. After high school he went on to join the United States Army where he served for 7 years until 1978. Wayne worked two years in the oil field until he enlisted in the United States Navy from July 1980 to January 1994. He served in Vietnam, Operation Desert Storm, and Operation Desert Shield. Wayne had a love of computers and fishing. He was a self-taught computer whiz and worked both for himself and with several computer corporations which included Initiative Technology Inc. in Brownwood, Texas, Dell Computers, and Unisys. He attended several colleges and received his Associates of Applied Science as a Microsoft Network Engineer from Virginia College at Austin. On December 15, 1980 Wayne was united in matrimony to Samuel Lee Christian and shared 31 wonderful years together. To this union, two daughters were born. He is survived by: wife, Samuel of Austin, TX; mother, Dollye Pearl Alston of El Paso, Texas; Children, Mia Brown of Austin, TX and Samantha Kerlin of Alamogordo, NM; three grandchildren: Angela Harrison, Billy "Buster" Brewster III and Dawn Kerlin; and a host of other family and friends.
