Minnie Weaver, 84, departed this world on May 31, 2021, with her family by her side in Austin, Texas. A memorial service will be held at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home on June 7th, 2021 at 1 o’clock. She was born on April 26, 1937 in Fort Wayne Indiana to Marion and Edward Cameron. She was the youngest of 12 children. Her and her eldest sibling Mary, were called the “bookends” as they shared the same birthday.
She was a force of nature, never met a stranger and would always light up every room she entered. In 1957, she married the love of her life, James R. Weaver, and together they created a beautiful union from which they made four loving children. She was a proud Air Force wife and supported her husband through his career by being very involved in the Officers Wives Club. She embraced and thoroughly enjoyed the many travel opportunities the military life style provided. As young children we were her world. She provided much love and encouragement. She was always are biggest cheerleader. As we moved on to start our own families, her obsession moved from us to furry four-legged Rotti’s. It appeared to take about five Rottweilers to replace each of us!
Minnie is survived by her sister Sylvia, her four children, Ronauld Cameron of Tucson, Arizona, Andrew Weaver of Bountiful, Utah, Christine Schiller of Thousand Oaks, California and Victoria Harris of Austin, Texas. Their respective spouses Heather Weaver, Craig Schiller and Frank Harris. Twelve grandchildren Alexander, Schuyler, Brooke, James, Victoria, Catherine, Cydney, Sabrina, Noelle, Kyle, Kailey and Gabrielle. Grandchildren-in-laws Shawn, Erik, and Michael. All of these she loved and deeply cherished.
To know her was to love her!
