On July 27, 2020, MaryAnn Reyes peacefully passed away at home in Manor, Texas at the age of 72 from health related issues. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She lived her life with a giving heart, a servant to those she encountered and in need especially to her family.
On June 23, 1948, she was born to Jose and Barbarita Sanchez in Elgin, Texas. She was the oldest of four children. Born and raised in Manor, she graduated from Manor High School and attended St. Edwards University.
MaryAnn was a retired State employee from the Texas School for the Blind, a job she enjoyed and made a difference to those whom she worked with.
She was an active member of St Joseph Catholic Church in Manor where she taught religions education for over fifty years, she had a compassion for the children to learn about their faith; a member of the Guadalupanas; the KJT and Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus.
After a five-year courtship on November 17, 1970, she married Robert Reyes and would have celebrated their 50th anniversary this November. Their love and family expanded with the birth of their sons Mark Allen and Robert Lance.
MaryAnn was preceded in death by her parents and her son Robert Lance. She is survived by her husband Robert Reyes (Bobby), her son Mark Reyes (Lorena) and grandson Joaquin, her sister Connie Banda (Joe), brothers Jose Sanchez (Nora), Jesse Sanchez (Olivia), and numerous nieces and nephews.
