Mary Frances Long

Mary Frances (Hickman) Long, 72, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 21, 2012, surrounded by her family and love. She was born in Austin, Texas on March 16, 1940 to Ruby Lillian Hickman and Francis Roy Hickman. She was a member of Pleasant Hills Baptist Church and was a childcare provider for approximately 30 years.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Terri Long.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 56 years, Gary Long; daughter, Sherri Long; son, Daniel Long and wife, Alison; grandchildren, Joshua Hayes and wife Sasha and Jennifer Saenz and husband, Richard; great-grandchildren, Dillon Long, Hunter Saenz, and Elizabeth Lee Hayes; brother, Jimmy Hickman; her beloved pets, Paco and Mia; numerous other extended family members; and a host of friends.

She lived her life with God and Church first, an unconditional love for her family and always had kindness and goodwill to show to others. Mary will always be on our minds and forever in our hearts.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Monday, September 24, 2012 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 25, 2012 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with Pastor George Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
