Martha Marie Mazur

Martha was born on March 1, 1922 in Galveston, Texas to John and Lillian Javor. She grew up in Smithville, Texas and graduated from Smithville High School.

Martha married Ryland A. Mazur on June 12, 1942, and they recently celebrated their 68th anniversary. They moved to Austin in 1954, where they raised 3 children. Martha is survived by her husband Ryland, daughter Rylene and her husband Peter Foegelle of Okmulgee, Oklahoma and their children Mary Lisa, Michael, John, Martha, and Paul and 3 great grandchildren, Christian, Amy, and Alex, and son Jerry Mazur of Round Rock and his children Valentina and Steven, and son Mark Mazur and his wife Teresa of Fredericksburg and their children Christopher, Erin and Amanda.

Martha was a beloved mother not only to her own children but to many children and students she worked with over the years in the office staff at Lanier High School.

Martha and Ryland are members of St. Louis Catholic Church. She was very involved with her many friends after her retirement. She stayed involved with her grandchildren’s activities and developed friendships with their parents and other children.

She will be very missed by her family and all of us who love her very much.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 7:00p.m. on Wednesday, July 21st at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home.

A funeral mass will be held at 9:30a.m. on Thursday, July 22nd, 2010 at St. Louis Catholic Church, 7601 Burnet Rd. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
