Martha (Margie) Lorraine Oertli Grohmann, 93, of Round Rock, died on May 21, 2015. She was born in Austin on July 7, 1921, to Henry Leonard and Martha Doering Oertli. She graduated from Austin High School, attended Business college and worked for the State of Texas until her retirement.
Martha married Charlie Grohmann on May 17, 1947, and during their marriage they lived in Austin, Round Rock, and Bastrop. They especially liked to travel, and spent many happy years until his death in 1986.
She loved to play bingo and was a fixture at a local bingo hall. She had also enjoyed gambling bus trips and cruising.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Gretchen Oertli Morgan, and brother Charles Henry Oertli. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Earline Oertli of Austin, Ruth Grohmann of Burnet, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Monday, May 25 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 North Lamar, Austin. Viewing will be at 10:00 am, with funeral service at 11:00 am. A private burial ceremony will be held the following day. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
