March 2, 1923 - January 9, 2021
She left us early on the morning of January 9, 2021, as the sun was starting to rise and the birds were rustling and beginning to sing. She sighed deeply and let go of this life. She left us in tears but there was also joy as we know she is in a place filled with love and joy.
Marjorie (known as Marge to her friends and family) passed away at the age of 97 (just 52 days before what would have been her 98th birthday). She was preceded in death by her parents Gorden and Elizabeth Seaman, her four brothers Gorden, James, Robert and Thomas and her sister Mary, her loving husband of 35 years John William Leary and her son John Thomas Leary.
Marge was born in Frankfort, New York. She attended Frankfort High School, where she obtained her High School Diploma. Marge enjoyed music, especially playing the violin at which she excelled, even playing on the radio while in high school. She never lost her love of music. Her second love was baseball. She seldom missed watching or listening to an Astro's game. Her favorite activity was bowling. She bowled on a team every week until she was 85.
She worked at Remington Arms during WWII as a secretary. After the war she married John William Leary and then devoted herself to being a wife and stay at home mom. She moved to Austin, Texas with her family in 1969. She was an active member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and worked many hours as a volunteer at the Caritas Health Clinic.
She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She loved her children and grandchildren with all of her heart and cherished every moment with them. She is survived by her sister, Margaret Rozwod, her daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Jack Lynch, her daughter-in-law Katherine Leary, her grandchildren James Lynch, Michael Lynch, Christina Fogtman and John E. Leary, and her great-grandchildren Hunter, Greyson, and Mackenzie Lynch and Mark, David and Alistair Fogtman, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
