Lucy Ann Garcia worked 30 years for A.I.S.D. During her early years she was assigned to the Teen Parent Program until the closing of the school. She was next assigned to Robbins High School, where she ran the computer lab for at risk youth.
After Robbins High School was reprogrammed her career took her to elementary. She was assigned to Palm Elementary, then finally finishing out her career at Casey Elementary. She served as a teachers assistant for special needs children. Lucy was certified by Region 13 as a paraprofessional.
She leaves behind her son, Gil Garcia; daughter, Desirée Garcia; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
