Lorene is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Phillips; son Dewey Phillips, daughter Dorothy Farnish, and son Wayne Phillips and his wife, Gail; grandson James Boultinghouse and granddaughter Cynthia Phillips; brothers R.L., Richard, Mitchell, Floyd, and Elmer; as well as by her sister Mae.
Lorene is survived by her son Danny Phillips and wife Chris with grandkids Delton Phillips, Shon Phillips, and Tabitha Phillips; grandkids J.P. Farnish, Jenni Micheli, Connie Phillips-Dannels, Ricky Phillips, and Teddy Phillips; 16 great-grandkids and 6 great-great-grandkids; as well as sister Fay Rippy and many other friends and family members.
Lorene loved traveling, camping, and chili cook-offs. She was a woman who loved her family passionately and never hesitated to help in times of need. A true blessing from God.
A visitation for Lorene will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM. The graveside service will take place immediately after the funeral at 2:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
