She attended Doak Springs School in Lincoln, Texas.
Lillie received Christ at an early age and attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She loved greeting people and was trained by Mr. Danial McDowell to be an Usher at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. When she could, she would attend every Homecoming at Mt. Olive and Usher, until her health failed her.
Lillie was a talented seamstress and beautician. She loved to read, fish, have a good laugh, and work puzzles.
Lillie had two children, Janette Woods and Otis Parks.
She was married to Willie O. Bryant and to this union one child was born, Barbara D. Brooks.
In 1958 she was united in marriage to Willie E. Bolden, no children were born to this union.
Over forty years ago she united with First Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Vernon Manor and remained after his demise, under the leadership of Pastor Danny Thomas, she was an usher and a choir member until health failed her.
For many years she worked at Fuller-Sheffield Funeral Home, she drove limousines and worked as an administrative assistant during the ownership of Roosevelt Taylor, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Jessie Parks, one son Otis Parks; three brothers Wade Parks, Herman Parks Jr., Leon Slider; one sister Novella Ferguson, three grandchildren Juan, Janice and Arthur. Willie Bolden, Willie O. Bryant and her special friend Norman Carter.
Lillie was loved and cared for by her family, her caregivers were Tamara Hill, Pamela and Lonnell Davis, and Kayla Paxton.
On July 15, 2024, Lillie departed this life.
To cherish her memories, she leaves: two daughters, Janette Woods and Barbara Brooks (Joseph Brooks), one brother, Edward Parks of Lincoln, Texas; three sisters, Herneader Jones of Channelview, Texas; Olivia Sparks and Gloria Thompson (Odis Thompson) both of Austin, Texas; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
