LILLIAN CARLSON LINDER Austin, Texas 1916 - 2006 Lillian Carlson Linder passed away Sunday, December 3, 2006. She was born in Kenedy, Texas on June 2, 1916 to Carl Theodore Carlson and Margaret Wanblom Carlson, grew up in Williamson County and graduated from Round Rock High School. Lillian graduated from the Seton School of Nursing in 1937 and served as a Registered Nurse until her retirement in 1976 to care for her parents in South Texas. She served as President of the North Austin Lady Lions from l959 to l960. For a number of years, she served with her husband, Martin, on the Board of Directors for the Mayfair Dance Club, Waltz Club, Thursday Nighters, and Herbs Dance Club. Lillian is survived by her husband of 67 years Martin S. Linder; daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Doug Danforth; son and daughter-in-law, Ted Linder and Michelle Just and daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Jim Strickland; grandchildren, Stephanie Danforth Meredith and husband, Bill; Kimberly Danforth Castillo and husband, Orlando; Brandon Linder and wife, Amy; Michelle Linder Ward and husband, Mark; James Trip Strickland, Kellie Strickland and Justin Birdy Linder and great grand-children. Family visitation will be on Thursday, December 7th, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Palm Valley Lutheran Church, 2500 East Palm Valley Blvd., Round Rock, Texas, on Friday, December 8th, at 12:00 noon. A memorial service will follow at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 3525 Bee Cave Road, Austin, Texas at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Stephen M. Youngdahl and Rev. Heidi Schwerdtfeger officiating. Honorary pallbearers are James Trip Strickland, Justin Birdy Linder, Major Bill Meredith, Jr., Orlando L. Castillo, Carl Allen Carlson, James Craig Carlson, Arlon A. Bindseil and Robert L. Cook. The family gratefully acknowledges the loving care of the staff at The Regency Village Care Center for the past six years.
