Lance Marshall Tomlinson, 42, of Austin, Texas and formerly of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2011. He was born on June 18, 1969 in Irving, Texas to Larry and Barbara Tomlinson.
Lance lived life to its fullest. When he was 16 he moved to Hawaii where he lived for 16 more years discovering the joys of life. He loved to surf, play guitar, motocross, snow ski, and most any other activity that involved risk. When Lance was in his 30’s he moved back to Texas where he continued in the restaurant business, developing an amazing group of loving friends, his “other family”.
Lance will be remembered as a free-spirited man who lived life his way, yet, he was always willing to help anyone in need. He had a magical way of connecting people together, and he was able to connect with anyone he met. He will be deeply missed by everyone blessed to have known him.
Lance is preceded in death by his father, Larry Tomlinson, and maternal grandmother, Mary Tiffany.
Lance is survived by his mother, Barbara Bledsoe; sister, Trina Myrick and husband Mark, and nieces Mary and Molly; brother, Wade Tomlinson and wife Julie, and niece Josie; and brother, Mike Tomlinson and wife Pam; step mother, Diane Hall; maternal grandfather James Tiffany and wife Bettye, and numerous other loving family members and friends.
In celebration of Lance’s life, a Luau will be held by his friends on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at Mercury Hall, 615 Cardinal Lane, Austin, Texas, 78704.
