The Lord called Karen home on August 15, 2016. She came into this world on September 12, 1965. She was born in Austin, TX to Robert Emanuel Gustafson and Florence Marks Gustafson. For the past ten years, Karen worked for Ellis and Salazar as a customer service representative. She was a loving and cherished daughter, mother, grandmother and sister. She is preceded in death by her mother, Florence Marks Gustafson. Karen is survived by her daughters, Adrienne Segura and Elena Segura; the father of her children, Vincent Segura; her father, Robert Gustafson; sister, Deborah Ochoa; brother, James Gustafson; her grandchildren, Jeremiah, Savannah and Hailey Salinas; and nephews, Kinny Ochoa and Ben Ochoa.
Karen held her faith, children, grandchildren, siblings and parents, close to her heart; her love for, and attention to these things, were the sole focus of her life. Karen stumbled, but rebuilt her life through the strength afforded by the consummate devotion to her faith and her family; most especially, her beloved daughters Adrienne and Elena.
In keeping with her faith, a Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home (2620 South Congress Ave.) from 7:00-8:00 pm.
