Julie was born on May 31, 1969, in Austin, Texas, to Maureen and Robert Franzetti. She graduated from David Crockett High School in Austin in 1987. She graduated from the University of Texas in Austin in 1991.
Julie worked for H-E-B for thirty-one years, ultimately serving as Store Director in Dripping Springs, and touching the lives of many along the way.
She married Virgil “Tad” Forbis in 1995. They welcomed twins Troy and Grace in 2008.
Julie enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, and spending time with her family at their ranch property near Leakey. She loved spending time with Grace swimming and watching Troy play baseball.
Her family and friends will always remember her as kind, courageous and continually positive, and as a loving wife and mother.
Julie is survived by her husband, Tad; her children, Grace and Troy; and her parents, Robert and Maureen Franzetti. She is also survived by her sister, Michelle Franzetti Fischer; Michelle’s husband, Ross; and their daughters, Claire and Sara.
The family would like to thank the medical professionals and staff at Texas Oncology and St. David’s South Austin Medical Center, and Julie’s colleagues at H-E-B for their care and support.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 26160 Ranch Road 12, Dripping Springs, Texas 78620. There will be a reception following the service in the St. Dymphna Center.
Memorial donations may be made in Julie’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
