Johnnie Richards, age 79, of Garfield went to heaven March 5. A descendent of a Pioneer family in Garfield, with Richards Drive named after his father. Preceded in death by wife, Ann; son, Johnnie IV. He is survived by niece, Rosemary White Kalina; great nephews, Darrell (Sarah), Johnie Jr. (Melissa), and great-great nieces. Honorary pallbearers will be T. W. Buck, Bill Wallace, Edward Neal, Bernard Blanchard. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Haynie Chapel United Methodist Church Nursery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Friday, March 7 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 8 at the funeral home. Interment at Upper Cedar Creek Cemetery in Bastrop County.
