John Maner Coleman, 66, of Austin, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015 surrounded by family after a brief, but intense and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Sapporo, Japan, on February 6, 1949, to Marion Jean Holt and Robert B. Coleman.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will take place at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 30, at Weed-Corley-Fish North, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd, Austin.
John earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from MacMurray College. Since 1972, John has been actively involved in valuation and appraisal of commercial real estate, and co-founded The Aegis Group, Inc. in 1987.
John was deeply loved and will be forever missed by all who had the opportunity to know him and his sense of humor. He enjoyed his work, spending time boating, hunting, and relaxing at the family home on Lake Buchanan.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia; children, Sarah Bell and husband Jamie; Reed and wife Julie, and stepson Aaron Whitehead and wife, Erin; and his beloved grandchildren, all of Austin; Mother, Jean Sutton; brothers Eric Sutton and wife Katherine; Kinne Sutton and wife Piper; and Ross Sutton and Elizabeth St. John, all of Maryland.
