Joan Robison Saul peacefully went to meet Our Lord on November 17th, at 9:30 pm at her home where she walked her way to Heaven with her daughter, Kimi, holding her hand. She died at peace knowing she was entering the Kingdom of God!
Joan was born in Lamesa, Texas on November 15, 1941, and grew up in Klondike, Texas. She excelled athletically, playing basketball at Hardin-Simmons University and loved racing fast cars in her youth. Joan had such a giving and kind spirit, she never knew a stranger and anyone was welcome in her home. She loved gatherings and welcomed family, friends, and anyone else that needed a place to go for the holidays.
Joan’s true calling was being a mother to her three children, a grandmother and great grandmother. Joan is survived by her son Monty Saul, and her daughters Kimi Saul and Tifani Saul Koehl and Tifani’s partner Sherry Morris; grandchildren Elisabeth Kelly, Christian Saul Griffis, Dawson, Zachery, and Kelsi Koehl; great grandchildren Dakota and Bowen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Audry Robison, Mable Soechting, and her sister Teresa Scott Hegedus.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Bannockburn Baptist Church, 7100 Brodie Lane, Austin, Texas, with Pastor Chuck Davis officiating.
