Pops enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1980 and was stationed in various areas around the world. He received an Air Force achievement medal, Air Force outstanding unit award, Air Force good conduct medal, Air Force overseas short tour ribbon, Air Force longevity service award ribbon, 1 device, and Air Force training ribbon.
Pops was a very hard worker, very dedicated to his job. Not only was he dedicated to his work but to his family. Even after working 70 + hours in a week he always found the time and most importantly the energy to dedicate himself to his kids and all grandchildren. There’s nothing he wouldn’t do for them. Jesse was not just a great family member but also a marvelous community member. You would always see him assisting in food banks, Blue Santa, his loving Church Santa Julia, etc. Even though 2020 presented its hardships, he was there, volunteering. It brought us much joy to have seen him broadcasted on the news during one of his volunteering events. It without a doubt made him proud to have been a part of that broadcast. No monetary value was involved but a very big heartfelt value for him. He loved attending Air Force flight shows and sharing those moments with his family. He most definitely always showed love and support for his brothers and sisters in arms. And forget it when it came to Golf. This sport was one of his favorite hobbies.
We miss you, we love you, and this isn’t goodbye. It’s an “I’ll see you later, in Heaven.”
