Jacqueline "Jackie" Marie Jenkins

Jacqueline (Jackie) Marie Jenkins, 59, of Lockhart, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 30, 1965, in Austin, Texas, to Larry and Joyce Walton.

A graduate of Travis High School in 1984, Jackie dedicated 10 years of service as an Error Notification Clerk with the IRS. Later, she embraced a new role as a home health aide, providing devoted care to her father, Larry.

Jackie met the love of her life, Ricky Jenkins, in 1984 on a blind date that quickly blossomed into a beautiful relationship. They were married on March 2, 1985, and together they built a loving family with two wonderful children, Julia (born in 1986) and Joey (born in 1988).

Jackie was known for her love of dream catcher and music, passions that reflected her creative and compassionate spirit. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her with her kind heart, warm smile, and vibrant personality.

Jackie is now reunited in heaven with her father, Larry Walton, and her beloved husband, Ricky Jenkins. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her mother, Joyce Walton; her brothers, Wayne Walton (wife Sheleo) and Robert Walton (wife Bridgette); her daughter, Julia Jenkins; her son, Joey Jenkins (wife Laura); and her two grandchildren, Nathaniel and Wimberley, who brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who offered thoughts, prayers, and support during Jackie’s final days.

Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 12:00 PM. A service will follow at 1:00 PM at Forest Oaks Cemetery, concluding with a graveside ceremony to celebrate Jackie’s life and legacy.

Jackie will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
