Ewalda Klein Willis was born November 8, 1938 in Austin Texas. She peacefully passed away November 2, 2023 at the age of 84 in Cedar Creek, Texas. Ewalda was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Clayton “Corky” Willis, parents, Ewald Klein and Patsy Watkins and grandson Christopher Saucedo. She is survived by her daughter Vickie Paterra (Leo), Son Jeff Willis, grandchildren Clay Saucedo, Portia Saucedo, Olivia Willis, sister LaRay Van Meter (John), brother Dana Watkins (Jenise) and sisters-in-law Sandy McDaniel and Kez Lemerise (Mike), nephews Ryan Wilhelm (Ruth) and Josh Lemerise and nieces Hanna Lemerise and Shana Schmitt (Nick).
For over 26 years she worked alongside her husband as a bookkeeper and scheduler for their C&W Plumbing business in Bastrop, Texas. She enjoyed reading and sewing clothes and quilts. Ewalda especially enjoyed attending the Houston quilt show with her sister LaRay. She also enjoyed watching all the birds, deer, racoons and other animals that wandered around their home. But she had an especially tender heart for cats.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 25th, at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6300 W. William Cannon Drive, Austin, Texas.
