Dorothy was born in Bartlett, Texas on December 1, 1928. Her parents were Laura Alma (Melde) Moerbe and Traugott Gotthilf Moerbe of Fedor, Texas.
Dorothy married Monroe Werner Domann. This union was blessed with a daughter, Cyrena, on April 30, 1953. Monroe was serving in the Air Force and was stationed to Germany while Dorothy and Cyrena moved to Austin, Texas.
Dorothy was an employee of the Internal Revenue Service until her retirement. Despite color blindness, she had a passion for painting, and painted many beautiful pieces including her favorites bluebonnets and Longhorn Steers.
She was a faithful member of Redeemer Lutheran Church since its inception.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
She is survived by her 2 siblings, Clarice Urban of Austin and T.G. Ernest Moerbe of Fedor, Texas, her daughter, Cyrena Parker of Liberty Hill; 2 grandchildren, David Parker Jr. and Tara MacPherson; 4 great grandchildren, Bryce McCatty, Porter MacPherson, David Parker III and Jax Parker; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Dorothy was known for her kindness and joy and was full of life. She loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed.
A visitation for Dorothy will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1500 W. Anderson Lane, Austin, Texas 78757 followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 12:30 PM at Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North IH-35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
