I served as your father's Labor Relations specialist during his tenure in Dallas.  He was one of the fairest and most compassionate executives I knew and I remember fondly his sense of humor.  He also seemed relaxed even during the most difficult of times and, to me a newcomer to Texas, personified what I enjoyed most about the people I met there.  Years later when I had moved to work in the national office, he and I had several opportunities to work together again.  I vividly remember his recounting his experiences in England and how glad he was that he and your mother had the opportunity to live there.  Please accept my deepest condolences.  There are memorable people we encounter in our private and work lives and he was one I will always remember as a man who greatly enjoyed his life and passed on good his cheerful attitude and wit to so many.  .

Rob and Joy, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Your parents were an inspiration to all. Though I only knew them for a short time, they touched my life and when I think of my time in London I think of them. Joy, I remember the time we went to church together. Despite what I have just gone through, I can only imagine the empty feeling you have.  Don was an amazing man and even better father and grandfather.  You both will be in my thoughts and prayers.  Even though it doesn't bring him back, know that he is without pain and with Sherrie.  I love you both.

Rob - I only really knew your Dad as a couple with your Mom when they would come to visit you.  They were two of the kindest, nicest people I have met in my life.  Recently seeing your Dad I also know he had a great sense of humor.  It has been an honor to know your Dad.

We will forever miss you -Whitty and Cuz .Don was an enormous credit to our family and an incredible friend .

I am so sorry to hear of Don's passing.  He was my boss in Dallas when I was in Collection, and he was wonderful to work for.  I have many happy memories of those times.  Sending prayers to Rob and Joy....

Don was a great brother-in-law and even better friend.  While we will all miss him, he is now reunited with Sherrie, the love of his life.

I am so sorry to hear of Don's passing. He was an Amazing man to work for. He treated me like Gold!  I will never forget him!

Rob & Joy, so sorry to hear about your Dad. I traveled with Don while he was in Dallas and worked for Don in Austin for a long time.  He could put an irate CPA in his place with the greatest of ease and smile the entire time. He taught me allot. You and your families are in my prayers.

I was so sad t hear about Don's passing. He and I worked together in Chicago and again in Austin. We spent many times talking while on the road. He was a wonderful friend and colleague.

Rob and Joy, your Dad was a great mentor and friend to me when I worked for him in Dallas in 1989-1991. We continued to stay in touch over the years and I was able to visit him in the hospital a few weeks ago.  I will miss him and send my deepest condolences to you. Rob and Joy and other family members. We are so sorry for your loss. Don and Sheri were dear friends and we spent many evenings reminiscing about our travels. We were perpetually planning the next trip.  Visiting with Don over the past few months made us understanding how precious the time is with our loved ones.
