Debbie Carman Snow Debbie Carman Snow, who loved life and clung to it tenaciously, died peacefully at her beloved log house in the country near Winchester on Sunday morning August 28. Debbie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt who also found time for many loving friends. All who knew Debbie well liked to talk about her great sense of humor. She enjoyed camping in the mountains near Red River, New Mexico, and in Colorado, was a talented quilter and gourmet cook, and enjoyed finding and using an extensive collection of Fiestaware. She also loved her faithful dog Lexi, who never left her bedside during her final illness. In addition, Debbie was a faithful and cherished member of the Downtowners Class of First United Methodist Church, Austin. Debbie Carman was born on October 27, 1952, in Anson, Texas. She graduated from high school in Anson and some time thereafter began a 20+ year tenure with the Texas Employment Commission, beginning her career in Sweetwater, Texas, and eventually transferring to Austin where she worked until cancer forced her medical retirement in June of this year. Debbie is survived by her husband, Don Snow; her mother and step-father Ann and Joe Howle of Hawley, Texas; her father and step-mother, Kenneth and Anna K. Carman of Anson; her daughters Chris Miller and husband Clint and Jessi Reid and husband Tony, all of Brownwood; her son Jim Ed Liner of Round Rock; a step-son Brian Liner also of Round Rock; a step-daughter Misty White and husband Dale of Fort Worth; her brother Mark Carman and Jill McClure of Abilene; and her sister Tammy Carman of Anson. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Azalee Snow of Austin, her brother-in-law David Snow and wife Rosemary of San Jose, California, and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Private graveside services for family only will be held on Tuesday, August 30, at the cemetery, and a memorial service for family and friends will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, 1201 Lavaca, Austin. A reception will follow the service at the Family Life Center of First United Methodist Church.
