He leaves behind his wife of 28 years, Lisa (Claussen) Worry, sons, Randy, and Gerald and wife Gail; grandson Braxton; brothers, Tommy and wife Terri; and Luke and wife Val; and many close and wonderful family and friends. He is proceeded in death by his parents Willie Otis and Ruby Mae Worry of Lumberton, Texas.
Charles was born August 25, 1945 in Beaumont, Texas. After graduating from Silsbee High School, he joined the U.S. Army in 1964 and served over 20 years. He was recognized for his commitment, dedication, and service during his honorable career and served two tours of duty during Viet Nam. He also retired from the United States Postal Service.
After serving in the military, he eventually moved to Austin and met his wife, Lisa. They married on April 21, 1990 and built their home together in Buda.
Charles loved traveling and was an avid golfer, who would golf anytime, anywhere, and under any conditions. Our Love goes with him always, and he will be dearly missed.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. A Funeral Service honoring Charles will be held at 3:30 PM, on Thursday, August 9, 2018, with interment and military honors immediately to follow, also at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Charles's name may be directed to the Wounded Warriors Project or Disabled American Veterans.
