Charles H. Horton

He married Glayda Croisdale on September 5, 1942. Two years later, they were blessed with a son, Charles Allen Horton.

Charles worked for Tips Iron and Steel for over 30 years. He had a great passion for fishing and he was always ready to go places. He loved to eat BBQ, liver and onions and fried chicken.

He leaves behind his son Charles Allen Horton and wife Lydia, grandson Howard Horton, granddaughters; Meraldalynn Johnson, Diane Hayden and husband Robert. He will also be missed by his two great grandsons along with his cousins Jim Horton and wife Mary, and Richard Walton and wife Diane.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday November 15, 2016 at Cook-Walden Funeral Home at 6100 North Lamar Blvd in Austin, TX. A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday November 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at North Belton Cemetery in Belton, TX.

The family would like to give a very special THANK YOU to Robbie Gibson, a lifelong friend, for all the love and care she gave Charles. Also big thank you to his granddaughter Diane Hayden for all her care she gave him. We know he loved both of these ladies very much.
