Brian Tully

Brian Allen Tully, age 57, passed away unexpectedly due to complications of kidney disease December 14, 2020. Brian was born January 7, 1963 in Austin, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother Norma June Tully. He is survived by his father James Aulcy Tully and his stepmother Louise B. Tully; Aunt Pamela and Uncle Rick Harrison; Aunt Bonnie Louise Morehead; Uncle Bobbie Bruton; niece Rachel Bailey, who he thought of as a daughter and her children Italia and Gavin; niece Alyssa Wright and her son Jayden; nephew Payton Oden; and many cousins, co-workers and best friends.

Brian graduated from Round Rock High School in 1981. Brian began losing his vision in his late teens and most recently started dialysis in June this year. Despite his visual challenges, he continued to work all his life. He worked as a dispatcher at Double R Towing with his long-time friend John Ransom for the last 15 years.

Brian loved to attend NASCAR races with his dad, cousins and friends; Texas football, and listen to music. He was also active with the Foundation Fighting Blindness and participated in all of the Austin/San Antonio Vision Walks and was Captain of his team Capitoleyes Crew.

We want to say a loving thank you to his long-time friend Kevin McLaughlin who was to donate his kidney to Brian this week. We wish to list all of his family and friends, but there are so many. He had a heart of gold, took care of many of us and we will miss his beautiful smile. He is loved by all who came in contact with him and will be dearly missed.

A Graveside Service will be held for Brian at 10:00 am on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Austin Memorial Park at 2800 Hancock Drive in Austin, Texas 78731.
